Trend Rider
Trend Rider is a Pine Script indicator that combines
EMA crossovers, RSI momentum filters, and an anti‑overtrading
cooldown mechanism to generate high‑confidence signals.
Core Logic
Phase 1: Trend Detection (EMA Crossover)
- •Fast EMA → 20
- •Slow EMA → 50
- •Buy setup when EMA 20 crosses ABOVE EMA 50
- •Sell setup when EMA 20 crosses BELOW EMA 50
- •This tells us the direction of the trend
Phase 2: Momentum Filter (RSI)
- •Uses RSI to avoid weak markets
- •For Buy: RSI must be above 50
- •For Sell: RSI must be below 50
- •This confirms strength in the move
Phase 3: Cooldown & Entry Logic
- •Anti-overtrading cooldown period
- •Waits X candles after trade closes
- •Prevents revenge trading and chop losses
- •Entry when all conditions match: trend confirmed, RSI agrees, cooldown complete
